Hi there, long time no speak huh? Yes I know, I have taken a needed break that turned into a soul-searching journey, a call searching journey, to find out what it is that God really wants me to do. That journey has brought me back to here, my passion for encouraging others to Christ. Well over this journey I had the privilege to be featured in Whole Magazine as a guest writer. I will be found by you and bring you back from captivity. (Jeremiah 29:14 NIV)
God wants to do something new in you. He wants to heal you and bring you completely out of the dark into the light. He wants you to hold tight to His teaching, to His Word, so that you will know the truth and be set free. Free from the stronghold you’ve obtained from this world, free from the standards of this world, and free from the lies of the enemy.
He wants you to stop hiding, stop feeling ashamed and condemned and instead let Him inside of that dark place that you’re afraid to go to. He wants to clean it up for you, to purge you from anything that is not of Him. He wants you to call on His name, and surrender, withholding nothing.
Everyone who calls on the name of The Lord will be saved. (Romans 10:13 NIV)
When you surrender your complete self to God, every single piece of you, withholding not one thing, you are giving God an opportunity to truly heal you with His power. The lyrics from William McDowell’s Withholding Nothing, “King Jesus, my Savior. I surrender. I give you all of me, withholding nothing,” are simple yet words with impact.
There was a time when I would hold back. I would talk to Jesus and tell Him what had been on my mind and bothering me, but I would tell Him only what I thought He wanted to hear. I was being politically correct, when I was talking to God. I even sugar-coated how I really felt, but God is not some human psychologist. He is not someone you have to come to with a well thought out speech or with walls up.
He is a God that will take you in just the way you are and will completely restore you to a new being.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 NIV)
When you are not being 100% with God,
