“A work in progress we all are until we see JESUS’ face”.
Reflecting on my life, I have realized that the only thing that has been consistent was JESUS and His love! He came through and protected me, even though my disobedience. He saved me when I was undeserving. He also gave me strength to get through the consequences of MY sin. LET ME REPEAT, I don’t think you fully understand… JESUS HELPED ME and GAVE ME STRENGTH to survive the consequences that I DESERVED FROM MY SINS AND DISOBEDIENCE. When I turned my back on Him, He welcomed me BACK in comforting arms. My God! I am so glad I have Jesus. Jesus is all I need.
You see, I’m going to be honest, I don’t have it all together, I’m still figuring things out. I don’t even know what’s next, but I’ve got Jesus. I know for a fact that He will not let me go on this new journey alone. I don’t have friends or a “bestie” who I can just pick up my phone and call, but I’ve got Jesus. He is literally my only friend and I’m okay with that. It’s gets lonely sometimes not having a man, but it is okay because I got JESUS! HE is my new boo; He now gets all my attention. I may not get the support from people the way I want, but it’s okay now because I’ve got JESUS. Jesus is all I have. LITERALLY! I may not have a lot of money or material things, but I’ve got JESUS! I may not have the highest degree or a professional degreed job, but I’ve got JESUS! I may not be who people want me to be or act the way people think I should, and I have no problem not meeting their expectations. See, I am the daughter of a King, and a woman of God; my identity and the way I now carry myself must portray the image of my Holy Father. I have no need to please people anymore, all I need is Jesus.
All of the things above will not determine or stop the purpose and works that God has placed and started on my life. Since I have Jesus, that means I must follow Him and pursue my calling and purpose. There are people who believe that once you become a true Christian, not a part time/fake Christian but the real deal disciple then that means you MUST know it all. Well I do NOT know everything! Well I do not know everything religious, I will be honest. I am a work in progress, I am not perfect and I will never present myself as such. I do not know everything, every detailed bible event or have every scripture memorized, but what I do know is that His Holy Spirit is living inside me. I also know that the scriptures I have memorized were all I needed to get me through at the particular season. As I study more and deepen our relationship, I know He will bless me with HIS wisdom and I will know all I need to know when I need to know it.
In this world of sin, dysfunction, imperfection, and inconsistent people, you have to have JESUS. He will grant you peace and understanding; comfort and confidence to know if all you have is JESUS you’re better than a rich man or the smartest man that don’t have Jesus. Without JESUS you are NOTHING. With JESUS, you are EVERYTHING.
A work in progress we all are until we see JESUS’ face. So don’t get discourage if no one is as happy for you as you want them to be. Don’t throw in the towel if you feel like you are not the person people expect you to be. Don’t get lonely and afraid if Jesus is your only friend and companion. Don’t be fooled by Satan thinking you need a lot of money, cars, material things and a high positioned job to feel worthy. All you need is Jesus. Seek God and He will bless you beyond your current circumstances.
TRUST GOD and reply back to the devil, BUT I’VE GOT JESUS!!!
“For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matthew 6:32-34 NKJV)
