Today’s Memo 7/27/14
I know you’re feeling lonely, but understand that it’s just that; a feeling. Trust that this feeling will not last long and is only temporary. I know it’s hard because you’re so use to having someone there. Right now, it’s just you. Whatever you do, do not go back a page or two, to revisit old acquaintances and habits, to keep your mind off this this dry phase in your life. God is testing you and building you to be stronger and obedient to His timing. Being alone is only scary for you because you’ve been dependent upon others for happiness and completion. In order to grow, you must be open to change and being uncomfortable as God uses this time for your good. You will look back and appreciate this time. This is YOUR time. You should love your own company; it’s the perfect time to become more intimate with God and to focus on being a better person, a better Christian, and a better YOU. Appreciate YOU!
Please keep in mind that you are not alone in this season. It’s tough but it’s necessary. Don’t focus on the negatives when there are too many positives to think of right now. You deserve the world… So give it to yourself. Spoil yourself. Do all the things you’ve always wanted to do, right now. Lonely is an emotional state the enemy will trap you in, to make you think you need a people and things, when all you really need is God. Get out of that state of mind and be happy. It’s better to be alone than with people who are leading you into sin… Learn to be okay alone. You’ll attract the right ones with a happy and confident spirit. Feeling lonely will bring a needy and thirsty spirit which will attract the wrong ones, and repel the ones you want, which cycles back to you feeling incomplete because you are putting your happiness into others.
Always remember to Love, Yourself
