And that it was, a total surprise! And now we are excited to share the news that, The Fitzgerald family is expanding and becoming a party of four!
I’m so happy and excited that coming in July, our little Liam will be a big brother! I’ve already been picturing him being a protector of his sibling and having a lifetime friend.
We planned to have our kids close in age, but to be quite honest, I wasn’t certain how close that would be. Our new blessing came right on time as God scheduled.
How did I find out?
I had one of the obvious signs (
missed cycle), however, I just knew that I wasn’t pregnant. I just knew that my not so best friend flo would come any day now, but after curiosity got the best of me, I fell into buying the tests. Again, I just knew that it would say negative, but nope, that second pink line popped up quick. I was like, “no way” (lol). So I took another one, and again, positive+.
How I told my husband.
When I told hubby, he did not and would not believe me for nothing. He did not believe the lines (lol). So we went to buy the tests that actually has the word PREGNANT on it. And of course, after a few seconds, it popped up and the rest is history.
The journey hasn’t been easy.
With great excitement came much struggle, as in the beginning of my pregnancy was very difficult. I am prone to the pregnancy illness called Hyperemesis Gravidurum. I was diagnosed at 6 weeks. To many reading, you’re probably like what in the world is that?
Well it’s an illness that can lead to death if it goes untreated properly.
In my first two pregnancies, first ending in miscarriage and second with Liam, I experienced HG. However, this go round, it hit me like a train and literally left me immobile and defeated for 3 months. I’m now at a stage where, thank God I feel human and normal again. I am able to keep it under control with medication. I plan to share more on my journey with HG, and hope to bring more awareness somehow. Right now, I just wanted to share the good news and kick off my blog’s new look and direction with a new post. =)
Now that I’m able to move around and go back to work, I can get to work on creating fresh new content and also researching to find a double stroller! It is so hard to find one (lol). I want and need the perfect one. So, if you know and can recommend a good double stroller, please comment below and share. Also tell me what you think we’re having; #TeamBoy or #TeamGirl.
Until next time my lovely people.
