You know He’s not the one, so why are you tripping? (PART 1)
Going through a break up is probably one of the worst things to go through. I have been through many break ups, whether it be an actual relationship or just a fling that didn’t go how I planned. After the break up, I would normally entice my sadness and depression by listening to sad love songs that complemented my situation. Why do we that? Why do we do that to ourselves? It is because we want to continue to control what has happened. We want to hear someone tell us what we want to hear, so we turn up the wrong music, wrong advice and negativity, turn down God’s direction, and suffocate ourselves with false hopes.
Let me ask you this: Why do you want him to come back? So he can cheat on you some more and hit you three months later? Why are you looking desperate by sending one too many texts, calls, and emails? So you can go back and settle in your comfort zone? Why do you want to make yourself look foolish, “In the name of love”? Girlfriend, when one door shuts, another one opens. It may not be next month, or next year, but when a person exits your life, whether you walked them to the exit door, or they left you, God will be there to pick up the bad romance pieces and paint you a brand new love life. You have to trust in Him. If He told you numerous times that man was not for you, yet you insisted on staying and playing the repentance game. You know the game when you know you are about to go against God (sex, drinking, smoking, lying, whatever it may be but in this case I’m going to say SEX), yet you do it anyway because you will “REPENT” after. Let me tell you, that is only going to lead you to a couple of places and it is not to JESUS. You have to trust God, even when it hurts, even when it’s uncomfortable, even when you have no idea what to do after you do what God has told you to do, trust Him.
