Will You Accept or Reject Your Calling?

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

Hello Beautiful Souls,

I want to talk about our calling and how important it is to accept when God reveals to us what that is.

Sometimes what we are called to do is not what we want to do, but God HAD a plan before we were born. He will awaken us individually on His time and show us what part we are to play in His vision. You may not understand the calling God has on your life right now, but that is where prayer and fasting comes in until you get a clearer understanding. Or, you may just not want to partake in the calling God has on your life because for some reason you feel inadequate, unqualified, LAZY, selfish, etc. When you take yourself out of the equation and look at it through God’s eyes, you will see that it is not about you but about God. This entire thing we call life is not about us, we are just a part of the bigger picture God has created.

You see, God created you, you DID NOT give yourself life and He created you with a purpose. Somewhere in life along the way, you have allowed this world and the enemy to distract your mind and take you away from the path you are supposed to be on. The enemy has taken many people completely left field from what their true purpose is that God has for them. So, when they get a glimpse of their true calling and purpose from God, they are caught off guard and immediately reject it and shut it down. God is saying it is time to close your eyes, ears and mind to the world and open them to Him and His word. It is time to run to God because if you have not noticed, we are living in the last days; Revelations is playing right before our eyes. God needs fearless, selfless, loving, and courageous people to stand up and fight for Him.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;…” 1 Peter 2:9

God can come back any day, any time, right now if He wanted to, but He is graceful and loving and sees the enemy attacking and distracting so many lost souls. He wants you to step up. He wants to use you. Yes YOU! If you are reading this, this is for you. God has been trying to show you what He has for you. He has been trying to warn you that where you are heading is not where your purpose awaits. Trust Him and be willing to step out on faith. This world is temporary, stop chasing things that are not beneficial to your soul and your ability to save souls. We are here to help one another. Yes enjoying life is a gift from God but do not let that be your motto. We have a job; we have a mission to accomplish. Satan is working double shifts and recruiting our people and turning them away from God’s team because they have no one to show them the right way. We have too many lazy Christians who just want to soak in the word and reap the benefits but they do not want to get out there and be a part of the leaders fighting for God’s Kingdom and helping to save souls. They just want the blessings; they don’t want to be a blessing to someone else by accepting their calling. That is selfish and not pleasing to God. Do you know how many people would love to hear God tell them their calling? Don’t take advantage of a blessing in disguise.

God blessed each of us individually with gifts and talents; but not for selfish gain and worldly recognition. He blessed us with those gifts and talents to give back to Him. How wonderful will it be, to tell God you used everything He gave you for His glory? How proud and happy God will be to know you obeyed Him and died to yourself daily just for Him. Right now, this world is all about self and using talents to chase fast money and become “famous”. The devil is a liar and it’s time to open the eyes and tell the truth about what is really going on. It is all a distraction. Satan knows you are gifted and talented and if you use that to glorify God, you will be a hazard and a problem to his schemes and plan. Now going back to the beginning of this, you may not like what God is calling you to do whether it be putting aside your worldly dreams that were produced through your sinful nature desires and becoming a preacher. Or, maybe He has called you to share your story about how you have been abused, and used, and hurt by countless people to maybe be a light to someone going through that. Or maybe you have a passion for music and dancing, the performing arts, there is nothing wrong with that but maybe He wants you to use those gifts and talents for His glory. God could even be calling you to help save souls at your job or school but you are too afraid of being labeled, judged, or possibly even losing friends and a “cool” reputation. There is a reason behind these callings that we cannot currently see in the natural.

Confession time!

A little confession, because I feel God wants me to open up more in my posts and be real with what I am saying and practice what I am writing. If I am going to be honest, this is not what I wanted to do; creating a Christian/faith based blog. Do not get me wrong, I love to write but poetry and songs were my thing. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be writing about God, promoting God. When I was first shown what I should be doing, I kind of rejected it because I felt like no one would read it or people would think it was boring. Like, I wanted to just write songs about my pain and my life but God has a bigger plan. I still write my poetry but I was led to use my gift for God. I had to really do some humbling, trusting, and surrendering to understand this calling. I still don’t believe this is even half of the calling on my life. Even if no one reads my posts, I will continue to do what I feel God has told me to because like I stated before I cannot see the big picture right now, and I don’t know where this will lead me, but I truly believe I am on the right path and it will fit into God’s vision.

See God knows what He is doing and He knows who is capable of doing what. God is not some stranger tapping random people on their shoulders giving them assignments that they cannot do. No He is getting together the army He created before the beginning of time. He is telling His people that it’s time for them to do their job; the job that they were initially created to do. So when God tells you what you are to do, do not reject it, accept it and grow into it. Don’t miss out on being a part of something grand with your little selfish self. Your fear and disobedience can keep you stuck and in the way of what God is doing. So I ask these questions, think about them and talk to God about them.

Has God called you to do something and you were hesitant to accept it? Has God led you to a path totally opposite from where you had envisioned yourself going? Are you afraid to tap into your true potential to become what God has purposed you for? Are you willing to stand up for God? Are you willing to let God use you and the gifts HE blessed you with for His Kingdom?

Stand up for God and grow in your purpose that you were created for. Remember it’s not about you, it’s all about God.

“For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.” Romans 11:36
